Avinode APIs power rise in online searches

Swedish technology and business air charter data company Avinode has seen a 47 per cent year-on-year rise in searches made through its external application programming interfaces (APIs). The group says its members make up 80 per cent of the broker and operator marketplace, and while one in ten of them use its B2B2C products, searches made through this range accounted for almost half of Avinode's total traffic in June and July 2018. According to the company this is demonstrable evidence of how these products support, and help to grow, members' businesses.

Avinode's B2B2C products consist of specially designed external APIs as well as off-the-shelf web and mobile products. These services provide the data to power a customised app and website, which are created from scratch and tailored to match the requirements of individual members' businesses. Alternatively, members can choose from a selection of off-the-shelf web and mobile apps that feature full Avinode search capabilities, such as empty leg searches, members' own branding and the option for members to create their own charter marketplace.
