Luis Barros expects Leviate to manage 20 aircraft by 2020.

Horizon Air Group rebrands as Leviate

Dallas-based Horizon Air Group, a charter brokerage, aircraft brokerage and FAA-certified air operator business, has rebranded as Leviate. The original name had caught the attention of Alaska Airlines and its sister company Horizon Air, prompting founder and CEO Luis Barros to initiate a change: "To say they had no influence on our rebranding decision wouldn't be the whole truth, but we honestly also took it as a compliment that our once small company so quickly caught the eye of such a powerhouse in aviation. It allowed us the free- dom to create a brand that is uniquely our own and can symbolise all the new offerings that are now at our disposal."

He continues: "The company is continually on the rise and the unique name of Leviate captures the essence of that upward movement." What began with just two employees in 2015 now has a full-time team of dedicated pilots, operations staff, sales representatives, administrators and brokers. More growth is expected and Barros adds: "By the close of 2020 we anticipate having 20 aircraft under our management. This will position us as a substantial air charter operator in the US."
