Jeremy Palmer and Peter Hunt with Mark Hugo (centre) on the consolidation of their businesses

Hunt & Palmer acquires Aircraft Chartering Services

As a sign of further natural consolidation in the air charter business, UK-headquartered Hunt & Palmer (H&P) has acquired the entire shares of neighbouring business Aircraft Chartering Services (ACS) upon the retirement of its founder Mark Hugo. ACS was started in May 1986 and over the years has established a diversified client base consisting of orchestras, government departments, niche tour operators and various corporations. All ACS staff have relocated to H&P's office at The Tower in West Sussex and the company will continue to trade as a separate entity within the H&P Group.

Mark Hugo comments: "My decision to invite H&P to acquire ACS was simple, because I knew Peter [Hunt] and Jeremy [Palmer] had built a business that shares my professional values and responsibilities to my clients, staff and suppliers."

Palmer adds: "Peter and I have known Mark for over 40 years and always enjoyed great mutual respect. We consider it a privilege to be entrusted with his life's work and look forward to further developing the ACS business as it very neatly complements H&P's existing lines of commercial aviation, business jets, cargo charters and music tours.

"The ACS purchase mirrors our earlier acquisition of music tour specialist Premier Aviation (UK), which has consistently produced a significant contribution to the H&P Group."
