National Jets makes VP flight ops appointment

Florida-based operator National Jets has appointed James Dent as vice president of flight operations, responsible for all divisions within its Part 135 programme. Dent has spent more than 50 years in the aviation industry. He began his career as a private pilot after obtaining his licence at the age of 16, and was instrumental in helping to develop and write the B727 pilot training programme for the Burnside Ott training centre in Miami. He went on to become chief pilot and director of operations for a number of south Florida-based 135 operators and has more than 23,000 hours of flight time as well as worldwide operating experience as a commercial pilot.
