The PrivateFly team marked the start of its birthday month of March with a Citation XLS cake and a winter barbecue, despite the heavy snowfall at its UK HQ

Double celebration for PrivateFly

The team at UK-headquartered PrivateFly is celebrating twice over after marking ten years in business and making The Sunday Times' SME Export Track 100, an annual league table of the UK's top exporters, for the third consecutive year. The platform appears at position 36 and is the only aviation company in the table. The listing recognises its overseas sales growth of 86 per cent in two years.

CEO Adam Twidell comments: “It's great timing to have this official recognition of our overseas growth as we mark our first decade in business. And I'm particularly proud that we have managed to be listed for a third time. To sustain our growth at this level, while remaining profitable, makes us unique in our sector and demon-strates the strength of our model and our fantastic team.

“It's been ten years since we were a disruptive start-up, looking to convince the market that our vision of a tech-driven approach to private charter would succeed. A lot has changed since, but we've managed to retain our culture of innovation as we've grown.”

Virtuoso travel partnership

PrivateFly has become a preferred partner of luxury travel network Virtuoso, which has over 16,000 travel advisors, based in 45 countries, that will offer private jet travel to its clients through integration with PrivateFly's technology platform and 24/7 team. Twidell says: “This partnership is a milestone step in our b2b growth strategy. Private jet charter is fast emerging from its exclusive niche and becoming more integrated in the travel industry through technology, allowing better pricing and greater awareness of private air options.”

Sponsorship confirmed for teenage F4 driver

Fifteen-year-old racing driver Olli Caldwell will be supported by the private charter platform as he juggles school exams and international races in his first European F4 season with PREMA Powerteam. He is preparing to tackle the Italian and ADAC (German) F4 Championships in 2018, following his successful first season with British F4 when he became the youngest-ever driver on the grid.

Twidell adds: “We are delighted to support one of motorsport's most exciting rising stars again this season, when fast and efficient air travel will be key to his success. Olli had a very promising debut and we couldn't be prouder that he'll be wearing the PrivateFly brand as he continues his career.”
