The 505 Jet Ranger X is a five-seat, light single-engine helicopter designed, according to Bell, for safety, efficiency and reliability using Garmin's G1000H state-of-the-art advanced avionics technology. Visibility is good for both pilot and passengers and Elon Biesuz, president of Brazil-based tourism operator Helisul Táxi Aéreo who recently signed for four 505s, says: “It is perfect for sightseeing and tourism missions.” It also delivers operational value and a smooth and quiet cabin ride for the executive who needs to conduct business or entertaining mid-flight.

The 505 fits four passengers comfortably and features cargo space large enough for four sets of golf clubs. It has a fully flat floor with integrated tie downs, 18 cubic feet of baggage bay and double-opening doors. Max cruise speed is 125+ kts, it has 1,500 lbs useful load and a range at VLRC of 306 nm.

Bell says the reliability, speed, performance, and manoeuvrability of the rotorcraft is integrated with an open cabin that is configurable for a wide variety of missions and payloads. Its quick disconnect rear cabin seats allow internal cargo mission configuration too.

The Bell 505 has received certification from civil aviation authorities in the US, Europe, Australia, Chile, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, Argentina and Japan.
