Sam Farshian is in the process of securing a first multi-million pound investment for new-to-market SuperFly

Superfly enters broker arena

Since qualifying for the UK Government's Seed Enter-prise Investment Scheme, London-headquartered Superfly has been developing a flight booking app that lists available individual private jet seats on ad hoc and empty leg flights alongside commercial airline seats.

Founder Sam Farshian says: “You can see the cost of an individual seat on a private jet and compare it with a seat on a commercial airline along the same route, and book either with a simple click.”

The company claims it is the first app of its kind; very much like Skyscanner but it goes a step further and gives the user an indication of the time gained or lost with the chosen option. It connects systems and processes between private and commercial aviation that have traditionally evolved independently. The company is in phase two of beta testing popular flight routes at the moment.

Superfly, a recent entrant to the private air charter broker arena, has also opened offices in Los Angeles, Malaga and Melbourne. Farshian adds: “For such a young company there's a lot going on and it's an exciting time for Superfly. We don't know where all the chips will fall with regards to our tech projects but we've adopted a very positive and fluid mentality and are enjoying the opportunities that are now presenting themselves, including those in the private jet charter arm of the business.”
