EcoJets acquires software and data provider

New York-based EcoJets has acquired UK aviation software services platform and data provider iFly. The purchase required investment of $16m and is intended to augment aircraft availability and operator flexibility.

CEO Edgar Costa says: “Going forward, I believe that data must have value in order to give the best solutions to clients.” In conjunction with this, EcoJets members will receive monthly reports for all their trips and are invited to provide an evaluation.

“Operators and client evaluations are compared for every flight and where discrepancies occur, the sales team follow up. This can affect the operator's placing on the system, but we think clients' opinions will improve the quality of service given overall.”
