Vito Gomes puts customer service at the heart of the development of ASM Charter, promising to deliver seamless service

A new brand and a new chapter for Aviation Services Management

To be the first choice provider in a market as competitive as flight support services means offering the best customer-centric practices possible, according to Dubai-based Aviation Services Management (ASM) owner and CEO Vito Gomes. He says today’s business jet passenger is usually a last-minute guest who is time sensitive, demanding and value driven, and this type of customer was very much at the forefront of his mind when his team enhanced the brand identity that he claims is now “as fresh and dynamic as the industry it serves.”

ASM’s transformation sees the unveiling of a new logo, the updating of its website and full rebranding of its operations in the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA), a move that has been welcomed by customers and industry partners alike. But alongside this comes the introduction of ASM Charters, and the availability of two Learjet 60s for ad hoc charter. Gomes adds: “ASM Charters is taking to the skies to provide bespoke solutions for discerning customers’ travel needs.”

The fleet is operated by Gama Aviation and is supported by a dedicated team of charter and operations professionals, busy meeting the challenge of flying clients on missions as varied as diplomatic exigencies, corporate events, emergency medevac or even cheering a favourite sports team at an historic final game. But ASM Charter goes beyond the provision of passenger movement as Gomes explains: “Where a client wishes to transport a luxury car or other prized cargo, the company can offer an efficient solution, seamlessly meeting short deadlines and last minute schedule changes. Our integrated flight support solutions include arranging FBOs, ground handling and fuelling to complement the ASM Charter offering.”

ASM overcame many challenges to accomplish the complex registration and accreditation procedures in record time, and the company revisited its extensive supplier and service agent network to select only those who would best and consistently deliver to the highest industry standards. It continues to expand internationally, opening offices in Mumbai, India; Kenya and Singapore and, despite the tough commercial conditions the industry faces, its outlook remains positive. Its success has been recognised by Forbes Middle East, which included Gomes in its 2017 list of top Indian business owners in the Arab world. He says: “The team is proud of this crowning achievement underwriting ASM’s dedication to service excellence on the ground, and in flight.”
