Earline Clason brings knowledge and proven success in the aviation industry to Air 7‘s charter business

Company appointments

Air 7 Camarillo, California-based Air 7 has appointed Earline Clason as director of charter sales/dispatch. Clason's 25-year aviation career includes sales management oversight, co- ownership and flight coordin-ation roles, most recently for an operator with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft.

“I am delighted to contribute to the success of Air 7,” says Clason. “Behind the scenes attention to charter sales, logistics, communication and, ultimately, the customer's positive experience is a significant objective at Air 7. My goal is to demonstrate to our client base that there is a difference in charter services.”

Pentastar Aviation

Robert J Rufli has joined Michigan-based Pentastar Aviation as vice president of flight operations and director of operations. He will be responsible for the oversight of all flight operations activity, including the operations control centre, and will evolve the company's safety management system.

With more than 35 years in the aviation industry, Rufli is well-versed in FAA operational certification and certificate merger projects. Most recently he served as president of Landmark Aviation and for over 22 years was executive director of flight operations at Aerodynamics. He was chief pilot at PDQ Air Service and has served as a flight instructor.

Rufli earned his Bachelor of Science in air commerce from Florida Institute of Technology and completed flight training in Gulfstream III, Hawker 800XP and 700, McDonald Douglas MD-80, Airbus A320, Beechjet 400A and 400, Mitsubishi Diamond, Beech Starship and Merlin VIC and 300 aircraft through FlightSafety International.

Interflight

London Biggin Hill airport-based Interflight has made three appointments to its senior management team: Trevor Jones becomes accountable manager, Andy Howel director of flight operations and Paul Cantillon commercial manager.

Jones is overseeing all operations of the air charter business in addition to the EASA Part M approvals and the maintenance 145 company. He has experience in business jet management and air charter operations with over 35 years as professional pilot, and says: “I am very proud to be heading up a skilled and professional team dedicated to taking the company on a new journey to become an exclusive and world class leader in the field of VIP aviation.”

Howel has flown Falcon and Hawker aircraft and was a type rating instructor on Global Express. With 18 years of experience in AOC and corporate management he will now be responsible for the management of the operations department including technical, training and standards, crew planning and scheduling.

Cantillon has six years oper- ational experience in business aviation with management of Bombardier and Gulfstream aircraft. He has extensive knowledge of aircraft types and national authorities, as well as both private and public oper-ations. He is now responsible for driving the commercial development of the business through aircraft management contracts, while managing client relationships.

These appointments follow the recent addition of a newly refurbished Hawker 800XP to the fleet.

Skyservice

Skyservice, based in Toronto, Canada, has appointed PJ Sharpe as senior business development manager. Leading the charge for Skyservice's diverse charter and aircraft management portfolios in central Canada, he will be based out of the Toronto office. Vice president of central region and aircraft sales Lyn Shinn says: “PJ joining the team was a natural decision for us. His extensive knowledge of aviation combined with his long-standing reputation for excellence makes him the right fit for our growing team.”

Global Aviation

Two flight coordinators have joined the charter operations team at Oregon, USA-based Global Aviation. Keith Brubaker and Laura Lloyd both have extensive experience in charter services.
