Avinode positions brokers for growth with enhanced TripManager system

Gothenburg, Sweden-based technology company Avinode is launching a suite of new features for TripManager, its sales management system which is designed specifically for charter brokers.

Acting CEO, Avinode Group, Oliver King says: “Brokers play a vital role in business aviation but are seldom able to operate to their full potential. Far too much of their time is wasted chasing enquiries that never convert into bookings and on basic administration. We've invested significantly in TripManager to launch an enhanced system that lets brokers focus on identifying which customers drive their business growth and improving service to those people.”

The system automatically analyses clients' purchase history, and helps brokers to improve service through data management tools and efficient workflow. A redesigned customer database puts the complete records for each contact at the broker's fingertips and a customisable calendar and map display enables them to see all trips and customer events and synchronise them with other desktop and mobile calendar applications.

Using a summary quotation generator, brokers can create a branded round-up of aircraft options ready for emailing to the customer. The automatic population of summary fields with Marketplace data eliminates the rekeying of data and risk of manual error. There is also a 'recent quotes' feature that enables brokers to instantly locate and continue work on a previously developed quotation.

“Technology is creating new sources of competition in air charter and raising customer expectations about personalisation and ease of booking,” adds King. “Brokers need to keep pace with these develop-ments and TripManager gives them the ability to compete and thrive in the digital economy.”

PayNode integrates with TripManager and SchedAero

Avinode's business aviation payment platform PayNode is now being fully integrated across all the group's systems. It is simple, secure and specifically designed to move large sums of money cross-border, regardless of time or geographic location. Users of the TripManager and SchedAero systems will now be able to create PayNode payment requests automatically within their current workflow, ready for emailing to the customer.

Magnus Henriksson, global business director, PayNode, says: “We've had a highly positive response from brokers and oper- ators to the launch. The solution has been designed to target key pain points in their businesses: the need to work faster, to move large sums of money internationally at short notice and to get paid swiftly. For example, PayNode is the only platform that ensures brokers and operators receive payment within 24 hours following a flight, which is a huge cash flow benefit.

“The integration of PayNode with TripManager and SchedAero ensures funds can flow through the links in the payment chain and into our customers' bank accounts more effortlessly than ever.”

PayNode will be expanded in 2017 to transform the processing not only of American Express payments but also of bank wire transactions.

Abraham to head up EMEAA region

Annika Abraham has been promoted to managing director, EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia). She has worked at Avinode for six years as CFO and will be responsible for the Avinode Marketplace and associated market intelligence products in the region, and will drive regional product strategy and delivery of TripManager.

King says: “Annika has an invaluable wealth of knowledge about the company from her experience heading up the finance team. She understands the group's business model and vision, our product offering, commercial agreements and, crucially, how we work with our customers to help them succeed in their own business. Annika has been centrally involved in all investor discussions and oversees all commercial policies and membership agreements.”
