Approvals from the Care Quality Commission and Home Office mean 9-Line will now carry out aeromedical activities

9-Line Aeromedical to offer air ambulance in Europe and north Africa

Specialist aviation holding company 9-Line Aviation, based at Blackbushe airport near London, has launched 9-Line Aeromedical to deliver VLJ air ambulance services within Europe and northern Africa. Its fleet of Cessna Citation Mustang aircraft will be operated by London-based Blink.

The fleet has been reconfig-ured for this service, offering the flexibility of multiple aircraft, bases and crew to respond to the needs of clients.

The clinical team is led by Dr Ian Mollan, an award-winning aerospace medicine expert. Mollan previously led the Royal Air Force's aeromedical evacuation service and has received several international awards for his work. He is supported by Sherry Conway as director of nursing, a highly experienced military critical care support team nurse who brings significant experience in specialist aeromedical nursing and equipment development.

Scott Bateman, 9-Line Aviation CEO, says: “9-Line will redefine safety and comfort for clients who require an air ambulance. It is managed by experienced medical and aviation professionals who will offer guidance and support throughout the service. The upgraded aircraft has the comfort levels of a business jet which will reduce the stress and discomfort of those travelling with us. Our aircraft are available across Europe, making this the most extensive multi-hub air ambulance operation in western Europe.”
