A round-up of fleet additions
Albinati Aeronautics SA
Swiss based operator Albinati Aeronautics has added a fourth Bombardier Global to its Maltese fleet. Currently operating under sister company Albinati Aviation's Maltese AOC, the 12-seater Global 5000 is based in Moscow, Russia.
AltiJet
Based in Strasbourg, France, start-up company AltiJet has taken delivery of a single engine turboprop TBM 900 and has filed an AOC application. It will be the first French charter company to use the TBM 900, and only the second to commercially operate a TBM turboprop in the country.
Co-ceo and founder Jean Gay says: “Thanks to the TBM 900's particularly low operating costs, we want to put private aviation within the reach of businesses and individuals. It will provide non-stop flights to some 3,200 destinations in Europe and the Mediterranean region.”
Centreline Air Charter
Bristol, UK based operator Centreline has added a Dassault Falcon 20000LXS to its fleet. The company has also gained an EASA approved worldwide AOC to operate long haul services to an almost unlimited range of destinations.
Chartright
Toronto, Canada headquartered charter company Chartright has added a Hawker 800XP and a Challenger 601 to its fleet. The aircraft have ranges of 2,400 nm and 3,400 nm respectively, and while the 601 is well suited for medium and long range flights, its operating efficiency allows it to operate over short routes without a disproportionate increase in cost.
Empire Aviation Group
Dubai-based Empire Aviation Group (EAG) has acquired an Embraer Legacy 650, an extended-range derivative of the super midsize Legacy 600. It has a range of up to 3,900 nm non-stop with four passengers, or 3,840 nm with eight passengers, which enables EAG to fly up to 14 passengers, non-stop, between Dubai and major business destinations such as London, Singapore and Johannesburg. The aircraft is one of the largest executive jets permitted to operate in restricted airports such as London City.
ExecuJet Aviation Group
In Europe, ExecuJet has added a Challenger 350, Challenger 300 and an Agusta AW139 VIP to its charter fleet, which are all scheduled to enter operation from October through to early 2016. The helicopter is based in Denmark.
“The Agusta AW139 VIP joins one other helicopter on our managed fleet in Europe and is ideally suited to vip and corporate travel,” said vp Europe Niclas von Planta. “Based in Denmark, with a spacious, quiet and comfortable cabin environment, we anticipate this aircraft will be in high demand.”
The new arrivals boost ExecuJet Europe's managed fleet to 55 aircraft, of which a large proportion is available for charter.
Gama Aviation
Gama Aviation signed up its 95th managed aircraft, a Falcon 2000, at NBAA 2015. The aircraft will be based at Chicago Midway International airport and will be available for charter.
General Aviation Services
General Aviation Services of Warsaw, Poland, took delivery in October of a Learjet 75. The maximum range of the aircraft is 1,650 nm with up to four passengers or 1,400 nm with eight plus one.
Hahn Air
German operator Hahn Air has acquired a Cessna Citation Sovereign to join its fleet of two Cessna Citation CJ4s in Dusseldorf. The exterior of the Sovereign has received new paintwork and the interior is completely modified. Its range of up to 5,186 km allows the addition of new medium and long haul non-stop charter destinations such as Canada or the UAE.
Helicopteros Dominicanos
Located in the Dominican Republic and doing business as Helidosa, Helicopteros Dominicanos is adding a Citation X to its fleet of Citation Bravos, Mustang, XLS and Sovereign. Helidosa operates charter services throughout South and Central America, Europe and the Caribbean, as well as air medical transport services.
Jet Edge International
Los Angeles based Jet Edge has added three wi-fi equipped Falcon 2000 aircraft to its fleet, which will form part of the FlexBase pricing programme the company is currently launching. FlexBase features a series of seven US base locations in Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, and Denver, with a view to reducing, or eliminating, repositioning costs.
Jet Aviation
Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Jet Aviation has added a G550 and G650 to its US air carrier certificate for aircraft charter. The G550 is based at Van Nuys, California, and can seat up to 14 passengers. It offers wi-fi/internet connectivity, Airshow, a DVD player, sound system, connection for iPods and MP3 players, a printer, flight phone and satellite communications.
The G650 is in Teterboro, New Jersey, and can seat up to 13 passengers. It features an entertain-ment centre with 12.1” widescreen HD LCD personal monitors and DirecTV, a Blu-ray player, an exterior camera, and three additional 26” widescreen HD LCD monitors throughout the cabin.
Metropolitan Aviation
Manassas, Virginia based Metropolitan Aviation recently added to its worldwide air carrier certificate a newly refurbished Gulfstream V branded SEXYjet. The aircraft features a 1,669 cubic foot cabin and partitioned working and sleeping compartments with a lavatory and galley for full in-flight food service.
It also boasts a complex paint scheme that took technicians over 3,000 man hours to complete from paper to production: a two-toned pearlised paint comprising a satin black base under a colour changing coat of Perfect Jade.
MHS Aviation
Munich based operator MHS Aviation has taken delivery of its first Gulfstream G650, which marks the debut of the aircraft in Germany. The G650 is a long-range business jet which can fly up to 7,000 nm non-stop with eight passengers, enabling the company to conduct fast flights for city pairings such as London-Los Angeles or Munich-Tokyo.
MNG Jet
Turkish operator MNG Jet has recently added a Cessna Mustang to its managed fleet. The aircraft, which is the first Cessna in its fleet, can carry five passengers and was manufactured in 2010.
