The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a high-winged, 19-passenger utility aircraft with twin turboprop engines developed by de Havilland Canada, now produced by Viking Air. First flown in 1965, it features STOL capabilities and can operate with floats, skis, or tricycle gear.

Before joining in Tahiti, the aircraft underwent eight months of extensive work at Zimex in Switzerland to bring it as close as possible to the configuration of the two existing Twin Otters. These types work very well. Full Story
