Jet Excellence takes Gogo Galileo HDX on 27 Citation Xs

October 31, 2026

Jet Excellence is retrofitting its entire fleet with Gogo Galileo HDX under a five-year instalment financing arrangement, with installations by Araina Aviation beginning immediately.

Textron and its suppliers have been working on this Citation X approval for some time.

Jet Excellence is equipping its entire fleet of Cessna Citation X aircraft with the Gogo Galileo HDX connectivity system. The charter operator is also taking advantage of Gogo's flexible financing solution, helping it manage the cost of upgrading all of its Citation X fleet while accelerating access to the latest high-performance inflight connectivity technology.

The announcement follows receipt of an FAA STC for the installation of Gogo Galileo HDX on the Citation X. Installations by Californian avionics specialist Araina Aviation are commencing immediately. Araina, registered as Affordable Avionics dba Araina Aviation, operates from Hangar A-335 at Chino airport and a second location at Thermal, California.

Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, Jet Excellence provides aircraft capacity to many of the business aviation industry's leading fractional ownership, membership and charter providers. Equipping its entire Citation X fleet with Gogo Galileo will enable Jet Excellence to offer consistent and high-performance connectivity across more of its aircraft.

“Reliable inflight connectivity has become a crucial part of the service our customers expect us to provide,” says McQueen Campbell, CEO at Jet Excellence. “Gogo Galileo gives us the performance and global coverage needed to support passengers who want to remain productive and entertained throughout their flights. Gogo's financing solution also gives us a practical way to introduce that capability across our fleet on an accelerated schedule.”

Jet Excellence's Citation X fleet is the product of rapid consolidation. Campbell, an ATP-rated pilot and commercial real estate broker who acquired what was then BellAir in 2018, had grown the carrier to six Citation Xs before adding 19 more in October 2025 when he bought Red Wing Aeroplane from Vista Global.

Gogo Galileo is powered by Eutelsat's OneWeb enterprise-grade LEO satellite network, providing high-speed, low-latency connectivity around the world. Passengers and crew can simultaneously use multiple devices for video conferencing, streaming, email, communications and internet browsing. The Galileo HDX electronically steered antenna offers a compact, lightweight, aerodynamic and low-power solution capable of delivering reliable high speeds. Gogo Galileo is optimised for aircraft ranging from turboprops and light jets to larger business aircraft.

“Jet Excellence operates in an environment where aircraft availability, operating economics and a consistent passenger experience are all critical,” says Christopher Moore, chief executive officer for Gogo. “Our role is not simply to provide connectivity, but to help customers choose, integrate and support the solution that's right for their operation. By combining Gogo Galileo with flexible financing, we're making it easier for operators to modernise their fleets and invest with confidence.”

Gogo's flexible financing solution is designed to make advanced connectivity more accessible by allowing operators to pay for the equipment in instalments over five years. As part of Gogo's customer-first approach, customers also benefit from predictable pricing, 24/7/365 multilingual support and a commitment to data privacy and cybersecurity. Built on a future-ready platform, Gogo Galileo enables operators to adapt as connectivity technologies and operational requirements continue to evolve.

Textron Aviation announced in July 2025 that it expected FAA STCs for Gogo Galileo HDX on the Citation X (and some 18 other Citation models) by late 2025, with installations to follow at domestic Textron service centres.
