AEM Aviation has achieved Wyvern Wingman certification through its participation in the Wyvern Flight Leader Program, which incorporates structured quarterly coaching and ongoing performance development.

Based in Sellersburg, Indiana, AEM Aviation provides private air charter services and aircraft management solutions that are designed to meet the diverse needs of its clients.

Wingman certification demonstrates AEM Aviation's alignment with the Wyvern Wingman standard, a rigorous safety benchmark designed to evaluate an operator's policies, procedures and practices against established industry best practices. As the aviation industry's first air charter audit standard, the Wingman standard provides charter customers with an independent measure of an operator's commitment to safety and operational excellence when evaluating air charter providers.

The Wyvern Wingman standard provides an independent evaluation of an operator's safety practices and operational performance against rigorous industry benchmarks. The evaluation encompasses a comprehensive review of the organisation's compliance management system, internal evaluation programme, safety management system (SMS), human factors management, safety culture, risk management policies and procedures, emergency response plans and training programmes. This process helps validate the systems and practices that support safe, consistent and accountable operations.

“Consistent performance begins with clear accountability, well-defined processes and thoughtful decision-making,” says Andrew Day, chief operating officer of Wyvern. “AEM Aviation's Wingman certification recognises the importance its team places on these fundamentals and their role in managing operational risk. We congratulate it on this milestone.”
