AB Jets joins Platinum Elite as ARGUS shifts to real-time oversight

October 19, 2026

Memphis charter operator AB Jets has achieved ARGUS Platinum Elite status, moving from biennial on-site audits to continuous operational monitoring after more than a decade at Platinum level.

AB Jets has earned the ARGUS Platinum Elite rating, joining a select group of just 22 US charter certificate holders to achieve the designation, equating to approximately 1.2 per cent of all US charter certificate holders.

This new independent safety oversight model builds on AB Jets' latest comprehensive ARGUS Platinum renewal audit with zero findings. Safety is AB Jets' highest priority, and the Memphis, Tennessee-based charter operator has maintained a longstanding commitment to independent safety evaluation.

Platinum Elite was developed for established Platinum-rated operators that have repeatedly demonstrated robust safety, operational and maintenance programmes. Rather than requiring operators to re-establish previously verified systems through the traditional audit model, Platinum Elite continuously evaluates real-time performance through cohesive data management and timely visibility into operations and significant organisational changes.

A zero-finding audit and mature safety programme open the door to a fundamentally different relationship with ARG/US through continuous monitoring. Rather than gearing up for an audit every two years, more frequent periodic reviews address selected areas of the ARGUS Platinum standard.

Andrew Bettis, founder and president of AB Jets, sees the achievement as validation of a standard maintained every day. “This is exactly how we designed our safety programme,” he states. “You establish strong systems, prove they work and then continue holding yourself accountable to them. Platinum Elite creates that ongoing framework.”

“AB Jets' safety programme has been built and proven over time,” adds Dave Hardin, director of safety and compliance at AB Jets. “Now, the focus moves from repeatedly demonstrating that a process exists to showing that we continue to execute it.”

“This is the right progression for our safety programme. We've built a compliant and sustainable system,” confirms David Turner, partner and director of operations. “Continuous monitoring aligns with the way we want to operate: transparent and accountable. Growth makes strong systems even more important. As AB Jets expands, we want to make sure our safety programmes evolve alongside our operation.”

Founded in 1999, AB Jets operates an owner-operated floating private jet fleet and provides on-demand charter and jet card services. It has held an ARGUS Platinum rating since 2014. AB Jets recently added three new Starlink-equipped Challenger 3500 aircraft to its fleet and has ordered two additional Starlink-equipped Challenger 3500s.

AB Jets has held ARGUS Platinum since 2014, giving it more than a decade of consecutive Platinum cycles before this step up.
