Textron shows CJ3 Gen2 alongside Longitude, Latitude and Ascend

October 19, 2026

Textron Aviation will show a production Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 at NBAA-BACE for the first time, three years after unveiling a mockup at the same venue and nine months after first delivery.

Designed with direct input from customers, pilots and mechanics - the CJ3 Gen2.

The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 will make its National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) show debut alongside other Citation aircraft representing the light, midsize and super-midsize jet segments.

"At Textron Aviation, innovation starts with listening to our customers and finding new ways to improve every aspect of aircraft ownership, from the pilot experience in the cockpit to the support customers rely on throughout the life of the aircraft," says Lannie O'Bannion, senior vp, sales and marketing. "The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 reflects that commitment, with customer-driven enhancements that create value for pilots, passengers and operators. At NBAA-BACE, attendees will see that same approach across the Citation family through innovations, services and support designed to help customers operate with confidence."

Alongside the Citation CJ3 Gen2, the company is showing the Longitude, Latitude and Ascend, the latest evolution of the Citation 560XL series.

From October 20–22, attendees can visit the Textron Aviation booth #3305 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center to explore how the company continues to innovate beyond aircraft delivery through interactive displays featuring its extensive aftermarket capabilities. The displays will highlight connectivity solutions and interior upgrades designed to keep aircraft capable, connected and supported throughout the ownership experience.

At West Hall booth #3415, TRU Simulation will also showcase how the company is advancing the next generation of pilot training through solutions such as its Veris Virtual Reality Flight Training Device (FTD). The Cessna Skyhawk configured device is making its NBAA-BACE show debut and combines immersive virtual reality technology with a realistic cockpit environment. Attendees can experience the Veris firsthand through live demonstrations at the TRU Simulation booth, located directly behind the Textron Aviation booth.

The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 combines the proven performance of the Citation CJ3 with the most comprehensive Gen2 enhancements introduced across the Citation product line. Designed with direct input from customers, pilots and mechanics, the aircraft features Garmin autothrottle technology, Garmin G3000 avionics, GDL60 connectivity and an additional 4.5 inches of pilot legroom to help reduce workload and enhance the flight experience.

The fully customisable cabin environment offers seating for up to 10 occupants, optional swivel seating, RGB accent lighting, USB-C power at every seat, wireless charging, executive tables and ample storage. The lavatory features CoolView skylights for natural light, an optional sink and vanity and external servicing capability for added convenience.

With a maximum range of 2,040 nautical miles and a maximum payload of 2,135 pounds, the Citation CJ3 Gen2 delivers excellent range, payload and field performance for a wide variety of missions.
