Gold Aviation achieves Wingman PRO safety certification

October 11, 2026

The Florida-based charter, management and maintenance provider has met one of the aviation industry’s highest safety benchmarks after taking part in Wyvern’s Flight Leader Program.

Paige Tehse, director of safety at Gold Aviation Services, says: “Wyvern’s coaching has strengthened our systems and keeps our performance under review year-round.”

Gold Aviation Services has earned the designation of Wyvern Wingman PRO Certified Operator following active participation in the Wyvern Flight Leader Program. Ongoing quarterly monitoring and coaching played a key role in supporting and sustaining the operator’s progress.

Wingman PRO represents one of the aviation industry’s highest standards for safety. Certification is awarded only to operators that demonstrate exceptional performance across all elements of their safety management system (SMS). Operators must also effectively manage human factors and organisational safety culture and consistently comply with international standards through robust internal audit processes.

The Wyvern Wingman standard was the aviation industry’s first standard developed specifically to audit air charter operations. It enables charter customers to evaluate operator performance against recognised industry best practices, with a focus on risk management, operational discipline and safety culture.

Andrew Day, chief operating officer at Wyvern, says: “This distinction recognises an organisation that looks beyond regulatory compliance and proactively seeks opportunities to strengthen its safety systems, operational practices and organisational culture.”

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Gold Aviation Services provides aircraft charter, management, maintenance and aircraft sales. Charter clients fly on an Embraer fleet of Phenom 300/300E and Praetor 600 aircraft.

For aircraft owners, the company’s management services include flight coordination, scheduling and dispatch, maintenance oversight, expense management, regulatory support, aircraft detailing and related operational support.
