Crew experience, aircraft history, cabin condition and operational track record are among the criteria assessed before an option is presented to clients.
Triumph Jets has formalised the aircraft and operator vetting standards it applies before presenting charter options to clients.
The US private jet charter brokerage, which has offices in Chicago and Miami, says the move comes as clients encounter increasing numbers of booking platforms, instant quotes and published pricing.
Under the formalised standard, every option presented to a Triumph Jets client is first evaluated against defined criteria, including operator safety certifications, crew experience measured in both total flight hours and hours in aircraft type, aircraft age and refurbishment history, cabin condition, operational track record and suitability for the specific mission. Where possible, the company prioritises aircraft based at the departure airport or repositioned the evening before departure to reduce day-of-travel risk.
The standard also defines what removes an operator from consideration. Aircraft that meet legal requirements but fall short on interior condition, operators with poor communication histories, chronic delays, unresolved regulatory infractions or fleets with recurring maintenance deferrals are not presented, regardless of price or availability.
Co-founder Arturo Gomez says: “Most clients assume all charter options are basically the same. What they don’t see is the people behind the aircraft, and that matters. Our job is to make sure a client is only booking an aircraft we would put our own families on.”
The company says the standard does not claim that operational challenges will not arise, but that vetting is combined with active trip management to minimise and manage them.
Gomez adds: “We work in a business that is not certain. Our responsibility is to bring as much certainty to it as possible, before the trip is ever booked and through the moment our client arrives.”
The formalised standard applies to all Triumph Jets charter arrangements, domestic and international, and is maintained collectively by the company’s brokerage team.
