The advantage of the Challenger 850 is its space, with different cabin zones allowing passengers to work, dine or relax comfortably. The cabin has been fully reimagined with diamond-stitched leather seating and divans.
AirX has added another Challenger 850 to its roster, the ninth in its fleet. The operator is extremely familiar with the type. “The Challenger 850 has been the backbone of the AirX fleet for years. It’s a type we know inside out: reliable, spacious and perfectly suited to the medium-haul corporate and leisure charter market we operate in across Europe and beyond. Investing in an aircraft we already understand, with an established maintenance and crew base, lets us grow capacity without adding operational complexity,” states CEO Houssam Hazzoury.
The jet is available for ad hoc charter as part of a floating fleet, giving clients access to a newly refurbished 850 at short notice.
The biggest advantage of the Challenger 850 is its space, with different cabin zones allowing passengers to work, dine or relax comfortably. The cabin has been fully reimagined with diamond-stitched leather seating and divans, dark wood finishes and a bright, contemporary look reflecting AirX’s new corporate livery. It seats 14 and features a full galley, high-speed wi-fi, five HD monitors with Airshow and generous baggage capacity, making the aircraft particularly well suited to larger groups and families.
Hazzoury goes on: “Adding a ninth Challenger 850 strengthens the most in-demand tier of our fleet, giving us more flexibility to serve peak periods and last-minute requests without compromising on standards. Alongside our Challenger 604 and Legacy 600, it lets us match the right aircraft to the mission, whether that’s a short European hop or a mission requiring greater cabin capacity and comfort, while keeping the consistency of service our clients expect across the fleet.
“9H-CLARA will fly the full range of AirX charter work: corporate travel, family and leisure trips, primarily across Europe and the Middle East to destinations such as London, Paris, Nice, Dubai and Riyadh, with the flexibility to go further where required.”
It has been a very active year for AirX. “We have continued to invest in and grow the fleet, while at the same time investing significantly in the product across our existing aircraft, particularly cabin upgrades and connectivity. The charter market remains competitive and there have been geopolitical and economic challenges during the year, so we have been selective about where we deploy capital. Our focus is not simply on adding aircraft, but on adding the right aircraft where we see sustainable demand and where they complement the fleet we already operate. Overall, we are pleased with the progress we have made this year.
“Our focus is to continue growing AirX and expanding the fleet where we see the right opportunities and strong market demand. At the same time, we will continue investing in the passenger experience, particularly cabin quality and high-speed connectivity.”
AirX has built considerable scale over the past few years, and its focus now is on continuing that growth while further improving the experience it provides to customers. That means continuing to invest in aircraft, connectivity and onboard products, while maintaining the flexibility, responsiveness and level of service that clients expect. “We remain ambitious and will continue to pursue the right opportunities to grow and strengthen the business,” concludes Hazzoury.
