Craig Murray has moved from Citation CJ3 lead captain to chief pilot, taking on day to day safety and standardisation for Silver Air's pilot group.
Silver Air Private Jets has appointed Craig Murray as chief pilot, effective immediately. Murray moves into the role from Citation CJ3 ARM lead captain, a position he has held at the Santa Barbara, California-based aircraft management and charter company since 2024.
Murray brings more than 4,600 total flight hours and extensive Part 135 pilot-in-command experience. Before joining Silver Air, he served as assistant chief pilot and acting chief pilot at Boutique Air, where he led a crew force of approximately 167 pilots across a fleet of 27 aircraft. In his new role, Murray will oversee day to day safety and standardisation for Silver Air's pilot group, working closely with flight operations and the company's aviation safety group.

Murray holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings including the Citation CJ2+. He began his aviation career training at Pan Am International Flight Academy.
