A major fleet investment has supported contract wins in Sweden and strengthened plans for expansion across emergency and offshore missions.
Avincis has ordered 30 helicopters from Airbus and Leonardo as part of a long-term fleet renewal programme aimed at supporting growth in emergency aerial services and offshore transport. The order comprises 15 Airbus H145s alongside 10 Leonardo AW169s and five AW139s, with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2031.
The aircraft will support existing operations and future opportunities across Avincis's network, which spans helicopter emergency medical services, medevac, search and rescue and offshore energy transport.
Part of the order is already linked to recently secured work in Sweden, where Avincis has been awarded a joint HEMS contract by Region Uppsala and Vastra Gotalandsregionen. The agreement, the first joint HEMS tender between the two regions, will run for up to 10 years and will use three AW169s. Two aircraft will be assigned to the individual regions, with a third operating as a shared reserve helicopter.

Avincis operates a fleet of around 210 aircraft, including 170 helicopters and 40 aeroplanes. Its Airbus fleet includes H145s, H135s, Super Pumas and AS350/355s, while almost 70 Leonardo helicopters support missions ranging from HEMS and SAR to offshore energy transport. The operator became the first organisation to exceed 5,000 flying hours on the AW169 at the end of 2025.
