Magellan Jets tailors jet cards to client demand

June 15, 2026

Flexible hour commitments and route-specific pricing have replaced a one size fits all approach to private aviation membership.

The programme allows clients to buy hours above a 25-hour minimum.

Magellan Jets has redesigned its jet card programme to reflect how its clients actually use private aviation, replacing the industry's traditional fixed-hour structure with a more flexible model tied to individual travel patterns.

At the centre of the programme are Advantage Routes, which provide preferred pricing on the corridors flown most frequently by Magellan Jets clients. Rather than requiring customers to buy hours in standardised blocks, the programme allows them to purchase a tailored number of flight hours above a 25-hour minimum while selecting aircraft categories and benefits that match their flying requirements.

The programme launches with two eastern US Advantage Routes and is scheduled to grow to 10 by autumn 2026, with future additions based on seasonal demand, holiday travel patterns and destination popularity.

Josh Lesnick, chief operating officer at Magellan Jets, says: “Private aviation has long sold the same product to every client. We took a different approach by asking a simple question: how do our clients actually fly? The introduction of Advantage Routes offers preferred pricing on the trips our clients fly most, made possible by our asset-light model that lets us price around demand instead of fleet logistics. Short-leg waivers are another new benefit. A client flying from Boston to Nantucket, for example, can save up to $10,000 on a single trip through the programme's short-leg waiver benefit.”

Enhanced benefits are available at 25-, 50- and 100-hour commitment levels. These include longer rate-lock periods, reduced pricing on Advantage Routes, larger long-leg and round-trip discounts, short-leg waivers and increased aircraft access.

Clients can choose between category-based jet cards covering light, midsize, super-midsize and heavy aircraft or premium cards centred on specific models, including the Phenom 300, Challenger 350 and Gulfstream G450/G550.

Across all commitment levels, Magellan Jets continues to offer guaranteed year-round availability, fuel price protection, mechanical recovery support, dedicated aviation advisors and surcharge-free aircraft interchange, allowing travellers to switch aircraft types without incurring additional fees.
