Aerotec has appointed Alexandre Silva de Morais as the new sales director for Brazil. Aerotec serves as the official regional Tecnam distributor for South America, and this strategic appointment reinforces the brand's commitment to expanding its footprint in one of the world's most dynamic aviation markets.

Morais brings an impressive 20 years of comprehensive experience in the aeronautical sector. His expertise spans technical, operational and commercial domains, having worked extensively with world-leading brands and manufacturers. His aviation career began in 2006 at Compoende Aeronáutica, where he served as a Level II quality inspector and managed the Goiânia unit, developing a strong foundation in maintenance, quality and aeronautical safety. He later transitioned into aircraft sales, proving his exceptional capabilities at Thrush Aircraft by commercialising 18 agricultural aircraft and becoming a top seller in the Brazilian market.

Most notably, during his tenure as sales manager for Brazil at Synerjet, the official Pilatus distributor, he managed the sales of PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft, generating over US$ 450 million in business between 2020 and 2024. Recently, his experience has broadened into the used aircraft market, executive aviation and fractional ownership models through leadership roles at VKN Aviação, Avantto and Epic Aircraft.

“My trajectory was built connecting people, businesses and aircraft,” he states. “Now, my goal is to put all this experience at the service of Tecnam's growth in Brazil. I believe Tecnam has a unique positioning to meet the needs of the Brazilian market, especially in a scenario of regional aviation expansion, agribusiness growth and the modernisation of aviation schools.”

As sales director, Alexandre's primary objective is to accelerate Tecnam's growth within the country, specifically strengthening its presence in the training, private aviation, air taxi, regional mobility and fleet renewal segments.

“Brazil is a fundamental pillar of our expansion strategy across Latin America,” adds Jose Cardama, director of Aerotec. “Bringing a professional of Alexandre's calibre into our leadership team demonstrates our absolute commitment to this market. His deep understanding of the Brazilian aviation ecosystem will be crucial as Aerotec continues to consolidate Tecnam's position as the leading choice for operators throughout the region.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Alexandre to the extended Tecnam family,” remarks Giovanni Pascale Langer, Tecnam's managing director. “Brazil is a cornerstone of our global strategy, requiring leadership that truly understands the diverse needs of local operators, from flight schools to regional airlines. Alexandre's phenomenal track record and deep understanding of the entire aviation value chain make him the perfect fit to elevate Tecnam's presence in the region alongside our trusted partners at Aerotec.”
