Web Manuals scales leadership to support international growth

February 23, 2026

The digital documentation provider has appointed senior executives to lead global growth and enhance digital documentation services for aviation operators.

The Web Manuals team is spread across offices in New York, San Diego, Singapore, Sydney and Malmo in Sweden.

Web Manuals has strengthened its leadership team as the company scales globally to meet rising demand for digital documentation management in aviation.

Paul Sandstrom has been appointed chief operating officer and managing director, taking responsibility for group-wide operations and management of all the commercial entities within the group. The executive team is further enhanced by co-founder Richard Sandstrom, who assumes the strategic role of chief product officer; Julia Wicksell, who is stepping into the role of vice president of operations; and Stefan Rinse, who recently joined as chief financial officer following an extensive career in senior finance roles. Jesper Ekberg also joins as chief technology officer, bringing experience from leadership roles as CTO in two fintech companies, along with strong technical knowledge and proven ability to guide organisations through periods of growth.

Martin Lidgard continues as group CEO, retaining responsibility for overall strategy, vision, governance and long-term development. He comments: “The aviation industry is moving rapidly towards more connected, digital ways of managing operational and regulatory documentation. As digital adoption increases, so do our ambitions for building a high-performing, global team. These appointments strengthen Web Manuals’ offerings and long-term strategic direction, ensuring we continue to support our global community of aviation operators with a platform enabling safe, efficient and agile operations across the industry.”

Paul Sandstrom, COO and managing director, adds: “As Web Manuals expands across regions and customer segments, our internal structure must evolve accordingly. This new leadership model brings clearer ownership to operations, product, technology and finances, strengthening how we deliver day to day and ensuring we maintain consistency and reliability as digital documentation becomes embedded in aviation operations.”

Web Manuals currently supports more than 750 aviation organisations worldwide, including airlines, business aviation operators and MROs, all increasingly reliant on digital systems to manage documentation and maintain compliance oversight.
