Gama welcomes XLS+ with ad hoc availability

February 16, 2026

The XLS+ continues to be one of the most dependable and versatile aircraft in the super light jet category. Clients value the spacious stand-up cabin, generous baggage capacity and the overall comfort it offers.

Head of charter Adam Neaves is anticipating demand in the Middle East and beyond.

Gama Aviation has added a charter-ready Citation XLS+ to its fleet. “The Citation XLS+ is fully available for charter and is supported by a dedicated flight crew to maximise operational flexibility and availability,” states head of charter Adam Neaves. “Operating under our Maltese AOC positions the aircraft strategically within the European market, allowing us to respond quickly to client demand across key business and leisure city pairings.”

The deployment of the XLS+ enables Gama to follow seasonal travel patterns, ensuring consistent utilisation while maintaining the high service standards its clients expect.

The Citation XLS+ continues to be one of the most dependable and versatile aircraft in the super light jet category. Clients value the spacious stand-up cabin, generous baggage capacity and the overall comfort it offers on both short- and mid-range sectors.

Neaves continues: “Operationally, its short-field performance allows access to a broader range of regional airports, helping reduce total journey time and bringing passengers closer to their final destination – a meaningful advantage for time-sensitive travellers. The aircraft also benefits from a proven operational track record and strong reliability, both of which are highly valued in the charter environment where consistency and dispatch dependability are paramount.”

Fleet evolution is a constant within business aviation, and the addition of the Citation XLS+ strengthens Gama’s ability to match clients with the right aircraft for their mission profile.

“This segment of the market is particularly active, with many clients requiring aircraft at short notice,” emphasises Neaves. “The XLS+ provides the flexibility to respond quickly to these requests while maintaining the premium service standards associated with Gama Aviation. It also provides valuable supplementary lift for our aircraft management clients when their own aircraft are unavailable due to maintenance or existing charter commitments, ensuring continuity of travel without compromise.

“Positioned within Europe, the aircraft naturally complements our wider operational footprint and supports connectivity with our ground handling locations, helping us deliver a seamless experience from departure to arrival.”

The aircraft is dedicated to charter flying and is well suited to a broad range of missions, including business travel, private leisure itineraries, multi-stop itineraries and touring schedules. Its balance of range, performance and cabin comfort makes it a highly adaptable platform capable of supporting both planned travel and short-notice requirements – a key advantage in today’s dynamic charter market.

The past six months have been particularly positive for Gama Aviation, with strong demand across both business and leisure travel driving consistent charter activity. A major milestone has been the opening of its Sharjah Business Aviation Centre (BAC) at Sharjah International airport at the end of January 2026. This purpose-built facility significantly strengthens Gama’s presence in the Middle East and provides a high-quality gateway for operators and passengers travelling throughout the region. Designed to prioritise efficiency, discretion and client comfort, the BAC enhances the team’s ability to support international charter movements while further expanding its global operating capability.

Neaves concludes: “Looking ahead, we are seeing encouraging indicators as we move towards the traditionally busier spring and summer period. Early enquiries suggest healthy demand for European travel, alongside growing interest in sub-charter and touring activity, which is expected to contribute to a strong seasonal uplift. Our focus remains on keeping aircraft flying, maintaining operational agility and continuing to deliver the high levels of service our clients rely on.

“Our priority is to sustain strong demand, keep aircraft airborne and consistently deliver a service that exceeds client expectations. As market activity builds towards the summer season, maintaining flexibility will be key, alongside continuing to grow the fleet in a measured way that aligns with client requirements and our boutique service philosophy.

“We remain focused on attracting aircraft owners who value a partner capable of supporting the full lifecycle of ownership, from management and charter revenue generation through to maintenance and ground services, all delivered to the highest professional standards.”
