The MRO provider has maintained its certification footprint throughout eight African countries and is adding in-house paint capabilities at Lanseria.
ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa has renewed approvals from the FAA and aviation authorities of Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia. These renewals represent the broadest range of certifications held by any MRO in Africa.
The Johannesburg Lanseria International Airport facility also passed regulatory audits covering record traceability, engineering qualifications and quality control systems.
“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” says Vince Goncalves, regional VP Africa, ExecuJet MRO Services.
He adds that business aviation is gaining momentum on the continent, with over 400 aircraft now operating and international operators positioning fleets to meet growing demand. “This underscores the continent's growing importance in the global business aviation landscape.”
ExecuJet is also pursuing approval for a new in-house spray booth, allowing touch-up paintwork on components up to 1.5 metres. The company’s Lanseria site has capacity for up to 14 aircraft of different sizes and remains the largest business aviation MRO in Africa.
