Champonnois returns to RoyalJet as vp commercial

Alain Champonnois has returned to RoyalJet after senior posts at Chapman Freeborn, Jetex, Honda Aircraft and Jet Aviation and long service on IS-BAH boards.

Champonnois' senior sales posts include Jetex and Honda Aircraft in Dubai.

RoyalJet has appointed Alain Champonnois as vice president commercial in Abu Dhabi. It is his second spell at the company after a previous term as commercial director.

Champonnois was president-CEO of India Middle East and Africa at Chapman Freeborn part of Avia Solutions Group. He also served as vice president of aircraft sales for Jetex and Honda Aircraft in Dubai UAE and as vice president of FBO and MRO at Jet Aviation in Saudi Arabia. At Skyservice Business Aviation in Toronto Canada he progressed from general manager to director of FBO sales and vice president of sales and business development.

He has served since 2015 on the standards board of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling and Air Elite. His career spans North America Europe and the Middle East with networks built from Toronto to Dubai and assignments across India the Middle East and Africa.

His education includes an MBA in Business Aviation Management from City and Guilds of London in the UK and a Business Management degree from Kwantlen University in Canada.

RoyalJet owns and or operates 10 Boeing Business Jets and five Bombardier Global 5000 6000 and 7500 aircraft from Zayed International Airport. Services include aircraft management charter leasing medical evacuation brokerage flight support FBO services maintenance repair and CAMO services acquisition and disposal and VIP aviation consulting.
