Equinox strengthens leadership with Meissner and Manzella

October 26, 2025

The appointments of Volker Meissner and Giovanni Manzella bolster Equinox Charter’s commercial and operational focus.

Equinox Charter has appointed Volker Meissner as senior air charter strategist, a move that supports the company’s continued growth and commitment to client experience.

With more than 30 years of experience across charter brokering, compliance and sales leadership, Meissner will support Equinox Charter’s portfolio of corporate and high-net-worth clients. He previously held a senior sales leadership position at ARGUS International, overseeing air carrier and business aviation activities across EMEA, and helped develop the Certified Air Charter Broker programme, which Equinox Charter recently renewed following an on-site audit.

Before joining ARGUS, Meissner founded and led Aviation Charter Ltd, managing it for nearly a decade. He also served as deputy chairman and council member of The Air Charter Association, contributing to initiatives in transparency, training and accreditation.

“What drew me to Equinox is its commitment to excellence and a mindset that never seems to stand still,” says Meissner. “My focus will be on continually raising standards and finding new ways to deliver value and confidence to clients.”

Equinox Charter has also promoted Giovanni (Gio) Manzella from operations manager to head of operations. “Gio’s promotion is thoroughly deserved,” says CEO Ian Patterson. “His discipline, attention to detail and problem-solving in a complex environment make him an invaluable asset.”
