Second Praetor 600 is natural choice for CTR Atmospherica

April 21, 2025

CTR Atmospherica considers it very important to operate a uniform fleet, which makes life far easier in terms of crewing and AOG. A second Praetor 600 has landed, and CTR has placed orders for further Embraer types.

The Praetor is an inviting proposition.
The CTR team is ready to deliver an exceptional onboard experience.

CTR Atmospherica, headquartered in the Czech Republic, has brought in a Praetor 600, which will join the company's growing Embraer Phenom fleet. CTR has been flying an original Praetor 600 for the last six months, so the latest aircraft is a logical fit as the operator seeks a uniform fleet.

“To have more of the same aircraft is beneficial in many ways, for the company, because you can have one ‘pool’ of pilots, one stock for spare parts, one set of manuals and of course the know-how on this aircraft type,” says chairman of the board Alice Horvath-Muska. “But it is mainly a big advantage for our customers as it ensures flexibility, reliability and availability as we are able to recover most AOG ourselves and as we believe one of our aircraft will be always close to the customer as we are mostly equally spread around Europe.

“We are already operating four Phenom 300/300E successfully, so our first Praetor 600 could not stay alone for too long following our philosophy. Our fleet has an average age of just 2.5 years as it is our strategy to exchange every aircraft latest after six to seven years, to offer our clients always new and modern aircraft. All aircraft are solely owed by CTR and completely dedicated to charter business without any owner approvals or restriction and are available for charter all around the clock for any mission that can be carried out safely.”

CTR chose the Praetor 600 by Embraer because it is one of the world’s most technologically advanced super-midsize business jets. It is mainly characterised by its long range of 7,200 km, cruising altitude of 45,000 ft, maximum cruising speed of 863 km/h, strong performance on short runways, as well as its comfortable interior and modern design.

“Featuring a highly functional galley, the cabin is designed for long flights, offering a height of 183 cm and a width of 208 cm. Furthermore, the sofa and the chairs are convertible into comfortable and flat beds. We have also unlimited wi-fi on board,” explains Horvath-Muska. “Furthermore, in August 2025 we expect our two ordered brand-new Phenom 300E to arrive where at least one will enlarge our fleet further to five Phenom 300E and two Praetor 600.”

CTR Atmospherica Aviation is the winner of the 2024 Air Charter Excellence Awards in the category of Executive Passenger Charter Operator of the Year (18 seats and less), which embodies the team's dedication.

Horvath-Muska concludes: “Our ambition is to deserve this award every day again and continuously deliver perfect service in terms of offering new aircraft, having professional and pleasant crews, serving an exclusive onboard menu and to be most the reliable operator for our business partners.”
