AXIS Aviation has enjoyed plenty of activity in recent times. As well as championing sustainability and working with online technology it has also embarked on a San Marino AOC, which is home to a plush Gulfstream G700.
AXIS Aviation enjoyed a successful 2024 and is looking forward to the year ahead. In recent months it has expanded its operation across EMEA, having opened an AOC in San Marino in April 2024, and has integrated the fleet of South African charter operator Absolute Aviation into its organisation. It has also entered into a strategic partnership with custom finance solutions provider Swiss Privata in order to offer carbon offset programmes. Through this new partnership, Axis Aviation's clients can now access carbon offsetting solutions through the Papagayo Hills teak plantation project, managed by Swiss Privata.
MD Kerstin Mumenthaler says: “We have consistently grown our fleet and we've launched our own digital management platform for crews. We recently welcomed seven aircraft into our global fleet and have several more jets in the pipeline for early 2025. We are on a big expansion course.
“Our recent focus has been on long-haul, premium products. For example, we’ve welcomed several long-range jets over the past four months including one Gulfstream G700, along with a Falcon 7X and a Falcon 2000. The majority of these aircraft will be readily available for charter.”
The 7X is based in South Africa and AXIS is already seeing an increase in traffic from South Africa to the European market, as well as the Middle East. The G700 will be operated on its San Marino AOC and the company anticipates a lot of activity from Europe to the Far East. AXIS also manages a Gulfstream G650, based out of Austria, serving popular routes mainly to the US.
“As a management company, we are always looking at ways to drive new efficiencies for our customers. Our goal is to be the most transparent company in the business,” Mumenthaler goes on.
“Our mobile application for pilots and crew members, provides users with access to all information related to their flights and features an AI assistant. Using the ‘Direct to’ function, users can ask any question related to the contents of their manual library and receive descriptive answers, as well as page references. ”
The team is hoping to experience similar successes in 2025, and it has a distinct vision for AXIS Aviation. On the technology side, the business plans to incorporate further digital advancements such as AI-based predictive analytics. “We’re also working on the launch of a new mobile application, designed to transform how privately owned aircraft are operated,” explains Mumenthaler. “We are always mindful of sustainability. In 2024, we announced a strategic partnership with Azzera and the integration of its Celeste platform. Throughout 2025, we will continue investing in sustainability initiatives.
