GainJet Ireland can now extend and renew ARCs for Gulfstream G550 and G650, Challenger 604 and Global 5000, Legacy 600 and Lineage 1000, Citation X and Hawker 800 series aircraft, as well as undertake UAS ops.
GainJet Ireland, a private aircraft charter operator and management company based at Shannon airport in the Republic of Ireland, has been granted approval for EASA Part M subpart I from the Irish Aviation Authority.
This additional approval authorises GainJet Ireland to extend and renew Airworthiness Review Certificates for aircraft types on its scope of approval. Currently this covers the Gulfstream G550 and G650, Hawker 800 series, Bombardier Challenger 604, Cessna Citation X, Embraer Legacy 600, Lineage 1000 and Bombardier Global 5000.
Accountable manager Ray Mills says: “This additional company approval has expanded our CAMO capability and services for both the GainJet Ireland fleet and our customers, giving us greater flexibility, independence and efficiency.
“We are marketing our services to other operators and owners as our new approval will also allow us to issue ARC recommendations to the Irish Aviation Authority.”
GainJet Ireland is in the process of a major company expansion, with plans to open a new office in Adelaide Road, Dublin 2 before the end of the year.
Mills continues: “We have expanded our services from aircraft management into providing demonstration, delivery and maintenance check flights primarily to satisfy the growing needs of the lessor market. Ireland is a global leader in aircraft financing and leasing. Approximately 50 per cent of the world’s leased aircraft are managed or leased through this island, where the presence of top aviation senior leadership coupled with a buoyant economic climate, favourable trading conditions and clear opportunities for local expansion are increasingly attracting emerging aviation leasing companies.”
The decision to open an office in the heart of these leasing companies in Dublin’s financial district will facilitate GainJet Ireland’s presence among them.
GainJet Ireland is the largest Gulfstream operator in western Europe with a fleet of G650 and G550 aircraft. Now, the company has also been granted a Commercial Operators Drone Licence by the Irish Aviation Authority. UAS manager Chris Copley says: “GainJet Ireland’s recent approval means we are authorised by the IAA and EASA for commercial unmanned aircraft (UAS) operations. As a holder of an EASA AOC and as an operator of private jets, the addition of UAS operational approval now allows the company to offer the services that the UAS platform can provide, and we are an ideal partnership for an existing non-EU drone operator to expand into Europe. Our new office in Dublin will be well placed to handle these new partnerships too."
