Two SP109s are a treat for Sweet fleet

January 16, 2023

The two Leonardo 109SP additions will be used for VIP charter across the Midwest, including trips to Chicago, Indianapolis, the Great Lakes region and more.

The 109SPs comfortably seat five to six passengers and feature executive-style cabin seating.

Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Sweet Helicopters has added two aircraft to its fleet, both Leonardo 109SPs.

“We've added these helicopters because of overwhelming customer demand,” says founder and owner Chuck Surack. “We already transport over 1,000 passengers a year and with the addition of these two helicopters are thrilled to be able to fly even more.”

The 109SPs comfortably seat five to six passengers and feature executive-style cabin seating. They are very fast, with twin engines, a top speed of more than 170 mph and a range of 350 miles. This makes them ideal for corporate trips that allow for both meeting and office time too.

The Leonardos join Sweet Helicopters' fleet of aircraft, including an existing Leonardo 109SP, three Airbus H130s and an Airbus H125.
