Chartright Air Group brings light jet to Calgary market

January 27, 2022:

Canadian operator Chartright recently added a Citation Ultra to its Calgary fleet, bringing a light jet available for charter into the Calgary market. Its current Calgary-based fleet already has strong performers under the brand umbrella with a Falcon 2000LX built by Dassault and the Challenger 300, a super mid-size jet manufactured by Bombardier.

By bringing a light jet to the Alberta market, Chartright provides an excellent opportunity to fly privately on one of the most popular jets; the Citation Ultra. The Ultra offers strong short-field performance and operates from short runways at high altitudes and temperatures due to its straight-wing design. Moreover, the Ultra jet is famous for its versatility, cost-effectiveness and reliability.

The economic outlook of Alberta published in 2021 reflected a positive picture based on a faster than expected recovery. More than 103,000 jobs have been added since the start of 2021, and mostly all of the jobs lost during COVID-19 have beeen recovered. In 2022, Alberta’s real GDP is forecasted to increase by an additional 5.1%, making Alberta’s economy look positive and back to levels not seen since 2014. In December 2021, it was announced that Alberta would open three new trade offices in the U.S., the largest trading partner of the province.

With seven passengers on board, the Citation Ultra can bring Alberta business travellers to the United States in no time. Time efficiency and reduced exposure to COVID-19 are essential criteria for conducting business across borders.

Business aviation continues to contribute to the economic recovery by providing safe on-demand transportation services across Canada and Internationally.

Chartright Calgary also expects to attract leisure travellers to charter the aircraft. The Ultra can provide non-stop travel, quietly and comfortably to Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Los Angeles or Las Vegas to enjoy their favourite activities with family and friends.

The Calgary Ultra can serve the domestic market by connecting Calgary to Fort McMurray, Kelowna and Vancouver starting from February the 1st of 2022.
