June 8, 2020:The Little Jet Group, based at Gloucestershire Airport (EGBJ) in the heart of the Cotswolds in the UK, is celebrating a major milestone. The group includes The Little Jet Company and Regency Jet, which has recently been awarded its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and Part M approval for its operation.
The Little Jet Company has enjoyed soaring success since it was established six years ago by directors Jason Bishop and Barry Preece who were friends at secondary school.
The group provides aviation services including private jets for worldwide charter, medical, cargo flights and provides AOG support for the industry as well a comprehensive management service for its discerning clients.
The company has recently invested in a new office and hangar facilities for visiting crew, aircraft owners and operators. Its FBO services at Gloucestershire Airport have expanded and enjoyed considerable growth and success during Cheltenham Race Festival 2020.
The Little Jet Group now employs 20 full time staff at its head offices at Gloucestershire.
"We are extremely pleased and honoured to have been awarded an AOC which enables us to take control of our own fleet of aircraft," said Barry. "We would like to thank the CAA for its continued support since December and especially throughout these difficult times of COVID-19. Without its commitment this would not have been possible."
Cpt Jason Bishop, accountable manager of the group, who still regularly flies the jets said: "We would like to thank all our staff for their hard work and dedication during this transition period. They have worked very hard during the last couple of months, and we are proud to have been awarded an AOC. We look forward to working with the CAA in the future to ensure our commitment to safe operations."
The Little Jet Group now has a fleet that includes four Citation Bravos and a new King Air 350i, and is also planning to welcome new aircraft types to the AOC in the future.
The group is looking forward to welcoming new aircraft owners and to maintaining its excellent reputation within the industry. "It is important to us that we continue to retain the same quality of service and attention to detail," said Barry. "We will not compromise on safety or standards, in line with our slogan āaviation without compromise.' This is an exciting time for The Little Jet Company."
A spokespersonĀ for Gloucestershire Airport said: "Gloucestershire Airport is delighted with the success of The Little Jet Company. It has gone from strength to strength, which is indicative of its work ethic and customer focus. We are delighted that Little Jet Company has now obtained its own AOC and can continue to offer charter flights from Gloucestershire Airport. We are looking forward to working collaboratively with it to support the future growth of its business and wish it every success."
