Second AW109 joins GB Helicopters' fleet

GB Helicopters is set to take delivery of its second Leonardo Helicopters AW109 GrandNew in the first week of May 2019. The new addition will join GB's well-established UK AOC which already boasts a strong fleet of nine twin engine helicopters consisting of several AS355N/NPs, a B429, an AW109SP and a S76C++.

The AW109 GrandNew is a strong favourite within the UK charter market, and is noted for its speed, range and comfort, making it a great all-rounder. Whilst the aircraft will be primarily be based in the north west of England close to GB's headquarters, the aircraft will operate country wide and into northern Europe to facilitate its charter and owner requirements.

"The model has proven to be a favourite throughout our client base., and the aircraft has already been optioned for many of the major social and sporting events throughout the spring and summer calendar.”
