Jettly develops affordable Part 135 charter app

Toronto, Canada-based start up flight sharing platform Jettly has developed an app on iOS and Android for passengers seeking short charter flights with Part 135 air operators. Jettly works by connec- ting private pilots with potential passengers, letting pilots post their open flights while passengers search for the flight they want.

CEO Justin Crabbe says: “Comparatively speaking, Jettly is a lot like carpooling and, even better, it's remarkably affordable.”

Operators and pilots in the area of the departure airport receive the requests by way of an in-app notification, for which they can then submit a quote. The user finalises the travel arrangements directly with the carrier. If a flight is cancelled for any reason, the passenger will be fully reimbursed.
