Victor’s growth fuelled by first-time private fliers

Data from Victor shows that over the first four months of 2016, 34 per cent of bookings were made by customers who had not flown privately before. It also shows that long range bookings have more than tripled and over 68 types of aircraft are now being used.

In terms of US bookings, London-headquartered platform Victor reports that the Beechjet 400a and Hawker 800XP have proved the most popular choices this year. For the UK and the rest of the world the Citation Mustang takes more than double the bookings of its closest rival, the Phenom 100. Long-range aircraft flights are up 279 per cent year-on-year, and the Gulfstream IV-SP, IV and G450, as well as the Challenger 601 and Global Express XRS, have proven the most popular Victor long range requests this year.

“The fact that so many first-time fliers are choosing Victor shows just how much the private charter market is opening up and changing, for the better,” says founder and CEO Clive Jackson. “We are growing the market by making it more accessible; easier to understand, clearer to navigate and more fun and productive to use.”

Victor has launched a German language version of its mobile booking app. The original contributes to 60 per cent of the company's total jet bookings and, to date, direct app bookings have ranged from €5,000 to €190,000 in value.

“Private jet charter is well established across the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, so we're excited to be launching a tailored app that further enhances the unique benefits of the Victor marketplace there,” says Mike Ryan, co-founder and head of supply. “A few taps of the phone in your pocket, and you can be flying in as little as four hours.”
