Returnjet's broker API will make it easier for everyone to do business
Returnjet has released a dedicated broker application programme interface (API), a software enhancement that will enable the company to provide its technology and data to its brokers, and allow them in turn to expose it to their clients.
A simple code is given to brokers which they can integrate into their own websites. It can be installed within a few minutes and instantly makes the Returnjet technology and data available to the broker's client base via a widget on the screen.
The broker can fine tune the number of client search results offered and quote requests made, and can choose whether or not to show estimated prices. The system instantly provides the best available options and the client can request a quote, which carries the broker's branding but goes directly to the selected operator. The operator returns quotes via the broker, who can then review, amend, re-request or forward them onto the client, taking back ownership of the charter enquiry.
“One of the key benefits of our system is that brokers retain total control over their clients' searches,” says aviation director Steve Westlake. “They can, where they see fit, amend quote requests to better suit the client's requirements. We are giving them an added value channel that they can offer to clients to increase engagement and loyalty with their client base. And as for the operator, they transact in the same way as they currently do through the Returnjet platform, so we aren't forcing any change in behaviours.”
At present the widget is provided free up to a limit of 50 client searches per month, and different package options are available including one at $350 per month for unlimited searches. In time Returnjet will review the amount of traffic going through the system and, where required, offer data upgrades to individual dashboards.
