DragonFly gets rotary wings

UK operator DragonFly Executive Air Charter has acquired a Bell 206 B3 JetRanger helicopter, which has a range of 350 miles at a cruise speed of 130 knots and can carry four passengers. The company is presently in the process of obtaining approval from the CAA to extend its AOC to encompass rotary wing operations, and the helicopter will shortly be available for commercial charter from its main operating base at Cardiff airport.

Howard Palser, founder and ceo of DragonFly, says; “The JetRanger is an immaculate low-hours aircraft that will make a superb addition to the company's existing fleet of three Beech B200 King Air turboprops. It will enable us to meet local demand for short-haul helicopter journeys and provide clients with direct access to the many sporting and entertainment events held around the country.”
