Jamie Kennedy says the move facilitates fly-in-fly-out business and mining workers as well as tourism to Ayers Rock and the Hunter Valley

AERgO opens at Australia's newest airport to service Queensland areas

Australian charter broker AERgO International has set up office at Brisbane West Wellcamp airport in order to service increasing demand in business and leisure travel to south west Queensland.

AERgO's commercial operations manager Jamie Kennedy says it is a strategic move for the company: “Wellcamp is growing in popularity and it is the gateway to the Surat, Cooper and Bowen basins, home to some of Queensland's most significant business and mining operations. Our new base will help companies consolidate their activities and cut travel costs considerably, a growing trend across the nation given the downturn in commodity prices.”

Wellcamp airport general manager Phil Gregory welcomes the move, saying: “AERgO is the first charter service to establish a permanent base here and we applaud its foresight.

“This extra connectivity is great news for local and interstate business travellers to access operations and events in regional Queensland.”
