NV Jets offers insurance options

NV Jets says it has become the first Las Vegas-based operator to offer its managed aircraft clients charter revenue protection and trip interruption insurance. The coverage is available through SterlingRisk Aviation.

Carl Shephard, president of aviation at SterlingRisk, says: “This is an industry-first insurance programme for operators and aircraft owners. We are very proud to insure NV Jets and we hope to enable them to reach out to managed aircraft with this additional product.”

The charter revenue protection policy was developed specifically for the aircraft owner and charter operator to protect their expected charter revenue from loss due to unscheduled maintenance and cancelled flights.

Trip interruption coverage protects the charter operator and broker for ‘extra expenses’ incurred for food, hotels and travel necessitated by the use of a replacement charter aircraft necessary to fulfill their charter obligations to the customer.
