ACANA unveils guidance for carriers and brokers

ACANA, the Air Charter Association of North America, has published its Contract Best Practices (CBP) document, which provides in-depth information for air carriers and brokers arranging aircraft brokerage.

Scott Bickford, ACANA’s chair and ceo of Air Planning LLC, says: “It addresses a myriad of areas, including recommended contract language, credit card payments, agency relationships, waivers of subrogation, flight irregularities, payments and cancellation, force majeure and numerous other issues associated with crafting effective contract agreements.”

Bickford credits CBP as a collaboration between the ACANA board and Dayton Lehman Jr, former Department of Transportation principal deputy assistant general counsel of the Aviation Enforcement Office, and now president of Capitol Business Solutions Aviation Group. “Having Lehman’s involvement with the CBP project speaks to the quality of our association.”
