The ACA appoints Glenn Hogben as joint deputy chair

September 8, 2020:

The Air Charter Association (The ACA) is appointing experienced aviation consultant Glenn Hogben as joint deputy chair, sharing the role with existing deputy chair Julie Black, to help steer the association and its members through the litany of challenges currently faced by the charter industry.

Glenn and Julie will each have specific roles and responsibilities aligned with their skills and experience. Their combined expertise will ensure The ACA can lead the industry and support its members with such issues as the Covid-19 pandemic, illegal charter, Brexit and online fraud.

Glenn Hogben, deputy chair of The ACA, says: “After seeing The ACA make great strides in many areas in recent years and working as part of the board to assist this progress, I'm honoured to have been appointed joint deputy chair. I'm looking forward to putting my strategic and operational expertise to good use to help maintain this forward momentum despite these difficult times.”

Glenn joined The ACA in 2008 and was elected to the board in 2017 after years of support for the association. He previously chaired the Training and Events Committee and was instrumental in creating the new Broker Qualification course. Outside of the association, Glenn has more than 17 years' experience in aircraft charter, leasing and management: from joining ACC Aviation in 2004, the company has grown into one of the top five global aircraft brokerages and expanded into the ad hoc and corporate charter markets.

Kevin Ducksbury, chairman of The ACA, adds: “As a motivated and practical business leader, Glenn's vision and experience managing growing organisations will be invaluable as we push The ACA forwards to better support our members across all sectors and territories. With Glenn and Julie working together, we're primed to maximise the opportunities that will arise from this challenging, but hopefully fruitful, period for the air charter industry.”
