ARGUS International welcomes new vice president of business aviation Ed Wandell

ARGUS International, Inc. is proud to announce Ed Wandell as the new vice president of ARGUS Pros business aviation, a new position within ARGUS International. Wandell previously oversaw the Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) programme.

Wandell will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business aviation division for ARGUS Pros audits, including ARGUS rating audits, IS-BAO and more. Additionally, Wandell will continue to oversee the commercial operator analysis programme, TripCHEQ. Ed will lead efforts to push the development of the CHEQ programme forward while still ensuring all trains run on time.

“Wandell brings to this position many years of experience in the business aviation industry,” said Terry Webb, executive vice president of ARGUS Pros. “He has been instrumental in developing CHEQ into a worldwide model for charter operator vetting and ratings as well as developing and implementing the world's first Charter Broker programme.”

Wandell started flying in 1990 and shortly after that purchased a Cessna 172 with his father. In 1993 he was hired by an on-demand charter operator in the northeast and for the next ten years worked in operations and airport management. Wandell then took his skills to ARGUS International in 2003 where, initially, he managed the safety officer support programme now known as PRISM, and then managing the CHEQ programme. Currently, he is division commander with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary where he provides leadership and management training. He is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a bachelor's degree in professional aeronautics, with minors in Aviation Safety, Airport Management and Management.
