New sales executive to ensure unique customer experience for Delta Private Jets

Delta Private Jets, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, announced today that Nicholas Portaro has been named vice president of sales for DPJ.

Portaro leads DPJ's sales, pricing, revenue management and product development department and is responsible for providing a unique travel and brand experience for customers, including access to loyalty programs and exclusive events.

"With his success in team building, strategic business planning and sales performance, I am confident he will help provide the high quality of service that DPJ's discerning customers have come to expect."

DPJ, which operates a fleet of more than 70 aircraft, is the only US private jet company affiliated with a major commercial airline, an unmatched competitive advantage in a fractured marketplace.

Portaro, who brings more than 25 years of sales and senior leadership experience, most recently served as vice president of insights for Information Services Group (ISG), where he led global sales teams for ISG's flagship product and launched a go-to-market strategy for new research solutions for vendors and enterprises.

He previously worked at Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, for more than 14 years. He played multiple pivotal roles in Gartner's growth including sales vice president, executive director and inside area manager. He studied the business of telecommunication at Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.
