Air Hamburg signs deal with Embraer for third brand new Legacy 600 at EBACE 2014

May 19, 2014:

Busy Legacy 600s in the last 12 months have encouraged Air Hamburg to expand the fleet with a third heavy jet. The reaction to its two recently acquired Legacy 600s has been amazing with both aircraft averaging nearly 100 hours per month. "We are certain it is the right decision to invest and expand in this segment,“ says ceo Floris Helmers.

The contract was signed today by Air Hamburg´s main investor Simon Ebert at the Embraer booth. Delivery is scheduled for May 2015 in Brazil.

The company has also acquired a Phenom 300, CJ2+ and CJ3 in 2013. Two Citation CJ3s and one factory new XLS+ are also set to join the fleet in 2014. In total this will add up to a fleet size of 18 aircraft by the end of the year: one King Air 200, six Citation CJs, two Citation Bravos, one Phenom 300, five Citation XLS+ and three Legacy 600s.

Capable of flying non stop from Jeddah to Geneva, the Embraer Legacy 600 is the biggest jet in Air Hamburg's fleet. It has up to six beds on board and with its low flight noise cabin it is possible to enjoy a good, relaxing sleep during the flight. This aircraft has three separate cabin zones, a fully functional kitchen and the biggest in-flight accessible cargo area of its class.
