BlueSky Jets goes commission-free

Florida-based BlueSky Jets is rolling out a programme of commission-free private flights called Sapphire membership. Co-founder David Levy sees commission as a conflict of interest that creates confusion and mistrust and says that he is in the business of servicing clients at the highest level, not negotiating with them: "Private flyers have absolutely no idea what they are paying in fees, especially with jet card programmes."

Co-founder Anthony Costanzo adds: "Our service is supposed to be about convenience and luxury; instead clients shop programmes and brokers like car dealers.

"This is by far the most aggressive programme in private aviation, saving our clients thousands each time they fly. We are thrilled with the response."
