West Coast Aviation Services gains entry to Cuba

Headquartered in Orange County, California, West Coast Aviation Services (WCAS) has brought long time partner KMR Aviation into its brand portfolio, where it is now known as West Coast Worldwide (WCW).

WCW has been granted approval to conduct charter operations in and out of Cuba, with restrictions, and the merger brings the combined fleet to over 30 aircraft spanning the turbo- prop, light, midsize and large cabin jet categories. The two companies share administrative, accounting, charter, sales and marketing staff. WCAS vice president of flight operations Laura Trenerry oversees the two separate flight operations teams at Orange County John Wayne airport and Ontario airport, while the director of operations for both certificates, Jerry Hansen, is responsible for maintaining a fully compliant, safe and reliable Part 135 and Part 91 operation.

“With the addition of WCW to the brand, we have expanded our capabilities to provide worldwide services to our customers,” says Gary Standel, WCAS founder and president. “As we complete trips to Europe and the Hawaiian Islands, I am also excited about our new approval to operate flights to and from Cuba.”
